Conversations with the Inspiring Warneshia Vann

Today we’d like to introduce you to Warneshia Vann.

Warneshia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The beauty spot presented by Sevynd was originally Sevynd Extensions. I started this business back in 2018, the name came from my daughter who’s name is Sevyn. I sell hair extensions, wigs lashes, bonnets as well as flat irons. I started selling bundles because I was spending extremely too much money on hair extensions so one day, I just thought I should start my own business because I love to change my hair so I thought that would be a great business to start.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Some of the struggles in the hair industry is that it’s a lot of competition, it’s a lot of young ladies selling hair. So, what I learn is that you have to be consistent. You have to change your hair a lot. My advice for women that are starting their journey is to never quit, don’t stop because everyone is doing something, just because they are doing it, doesn’t mean there is no room for you, stay consistent and most importantly, never stop promoting yourself.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The Beauty Spot Presented by Sevynd story. Tell us more about the business.
Our job is to make sure all the ladies that wear our hair feel that it’s the best hair ever. We specialize in the extensions because that is mostly what is popular nowadays. The most thing that I’m proud of is that I do have some loyal to returning customers. What set us apart from other hair companies is that we try to make sure our packaging sticks out, we also try to make sure that we have a contest, giveaways, raffles, and discounts during holidays. We also have the best quality hair.

For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
There are so many different opportunities out here for women, we just have to find out what we love to do and make sure it’s a passion.
