Life and Work with Sarah Pandey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Pandey.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always believed in “doing what you love” because, at the end of the day, our happiness is our most precious possession. I wanted to create a platform that would not only keep me motivated but would help others along the way. So, I started All Things Beautiful blog as a hub for people like me to unplug from the everyday chaos and be inspired to travel and live a more adventurous life.

I’ve had a passion for traveling and fashion ever since I was little. Before launching All Things Beautiful, I often used writing as an outlet for sharing my countless travel stories and fashion and styling tips with friends and family. After getting lost in all the fashion and travel blogs for well over a year, I told my husband that I needed to start something that strongly speaks to me. My husband, Sanjay, who always inspires me to follow my heart said, “Why don’t you then?” So, with my husband’s help, I started All Things Beautiful and shared my first blog post.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Working on All Things Beautiful has been a journey; a journey that not always been a smooth one. There is one thing I learned in the whole process is that it doesn’t happen overnight, and it requires a lot of patience.
There are times, I feel like there are not enough hours in a day. It gets overwhelming, but working on my blog makes me feel happy, excited, and keeps me going. When my husband and I are not traveling, most of our weekends are spent working on the blog, shooting content, managing social media, working with brands, answering emails, and the list goes on.

I believe that everyone has the potential to live their dreams and discover something new about themselves by stepping out of their comfort zone. Blogging isn’t as simple as traveling, capturing photos or writing content. It requires a lot of planning and preparation behind the scenes. If you are new to blogging or thinking about starting a blog, it’s important that you define your niche early on. We all have lots of interests that we want to talk about, but you should pick a niche that you are most passionate about. I am a firm believer that it is passion, enthusiasm, and patience that makes a blog a successful one.

Please tell us about Sarah’s All Things Beautiful.
If you are like me, then you have this constant yearning inside of you to discover your style and travel the world. All Things Beautiful blog is a source of information and inspiration featuring travel tips, fashion, and photography from around the world. My husband Sanjay and I caught the travel bug 5 years ago, and we have been traveling on-and-off ever since. What sets All Things Beautiful apart from others is that it show how ordinary people can live extraordinary lives.

Over the last couple years, All Things Beautiful has evolved into a full lifestyle blog. The mission is to travel the world, discover your style, follow your dreams and get inspired. And my vision is to seek out and showcase all things beautiful; to inspire others to follow their dreams.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
I think adventurous and being confident is the new pretty. I know a lot of us are taught to go to college, get a job, get married and have kids. Most of us follow the society’s idea of a successful and a happy life. However, in the process somewhere, we often forget to discover our own happily ever after. I believe that there are plenty of opportunities today for women to push the boundaries of business, media, culture, and adventure especially in the world of blogging.
