Meet Andres Gomez of AG Insurance

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andres Gomez.

Andres, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born in Venezuela and immigrated to the United States in 2004. I have worked with various oil companies such as Hess Corporation and Schlumberger. Having been laid off from Schlumberger due to a reduction in the oil prices, I decided to be my own boss. My present business, AG Insurance, was started in September 2016. With my knowledge of administration from previous jobs, the business is on the road to success, especially since everyone needs insurance.

At the present time, I’m starting a new business in the same office by the name of Dreams We Make It Reality. I got the idea from my daughter’s wedding in August 2016, which we decorated ourselves. My daughter, Annalisa Gomez, is the main designer/decorator for Dreams and also my partner. We decided that we can make a person’s dream their reality in any event.

Has it been a smooth road?
It took a while to find the right location for the business, which is located at 16460 Kuykendahl Rd, Suite 210, Houston, TX 77068. I financed the businesses on my own with the help and support of my family.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with AG Insurance – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are an insurance agency that provides auto insurance, home owners and renters insurance, vehicle title services, and notary services. We pride ourselves in excellent and friendly customer service. What sets us apart from others is we are bilingual.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I like that Houston is multi-cultural and weather friendly. The thing I like least about Houston is the traffic congestion and construction on every major road at the same time.
