Meet Betty Welch of Candle Light Ambience of Texas in Katy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Betty Welch.

Betty, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was a school librarian for years bring joy and happiness to young students with my storytelling and puppeteer skills. In 2009, I had an idea about opening a business which celebrated people’s life-changing events. I thought about it for two years, and when the opportunity came to team up with an ISES (now called NACE) winning company in Colorado I jumped at the opportunity.

I love candles. They add interest and are classy, timeless and very versatile in bringing an extra special elegance and allure to any event tablescape. That is why I opened Candle Light Ambience of Texas in 2013.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I struggle with social media marketing. Social media seems to change in some way nearly every day so the learning curve seems non-ending.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Candle Light Ambience of Texas – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Candle Light Ambience of Texas, established in 2013, provide unique, beautiful and affordable candlelight wedding and event decor. We specialize in decor for the couple who loves the romantic ambiance of candlelight. We are known for our candle walls, as well as our memory lanterns. We are the first rental company whose soul emphasis is candle decor.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Good questions. I look forward to working alongside madly in love couples who know it is all in the details. We are really excited to be expanding in the upcoming season.

  • Every single person’s event wants are different.
  • I can’t emphasize how important it is to establish a budget which includes table decor
  • Our prices start at two dollars and fifty cents and go up, depending on the client’s choice of decor.
