Meet Chad Chesmark of TexasSchoolShows.com in Richmond

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chad Chesmark.

Chad, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been performing magic since I was a child. My passion eventually led to a career performing at comedy clubs and eventually for corporate events and cruise ships which I still enjoy doing. While performing for Disney Cruise Lines, I realized that I had a knack for entertaining children and decided to use that skill to help educate elementary school students on the topics of bullying, reading, science, and American history. By combining magic with these topics, I’m able to really hold their attention and get them excited about learning.

Has it been a smooth road?
In order to allow myself to schedule school assemblies, I generally need to book several school assemblies within a group of consecutive days. My corporate speaking and cruise ship entertainment schedule tends to eat up a large chunk of my available time. Otherwise, it becomes too challenging financially to exclude those dates from my higher paying corporate and cruise ship clients. By booking multiple schools within a given week, I’m able to dedicate those time slots to focus on schools and can visit up to 10 schools in a week’s time.
