Today we’d like to introduce you to Charles Enriquez.
Charles, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in the AC industry. My best friend’s dad owned an AC company, so during the summer we would work for his company. I realized I had a knack for the technical side of the industry, that on top of being a “people person” it was only natural that I work towards getting my AC license. Years later, while working for another HVAC company as their top seller and technician, I felt I wasn’t able to provide the level of service I wanted, working for someone else. I wanted to provide a better experience for the customers, so I decided to branch out on my own. Laurie was working as accountant for a leading commercial real estate company. Together we decided to take a leap of faith and started Madd Air-Heating and Cooling, naming it after our daughter Maddy.
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s never an entirely smooth road, trying to get a new company off the ground. There were a lot of sleepless nights and long exhausting days but in the end, it’s been worth it. Having the opportunity to connect with our wonderful neighbors make the long hours worth it.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Madd Air – Heating & Cooling story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a family owned and operated full-service heating and air conditioning company.
We cater to residential and commercial customers, in the Kingwood and surrounding areas. We repair, install and maintain all brands of HVAC equipment, as well as, specializing in insulation installation and advanced energy technologies. We are proud to have been awarded the BBB Award for Excellence multiple years and this past year, our customers gave us such rave reviews we were awarded the 2016 Angie’s List Super Service Award, we were named 2016 Best Pick for AC service by The Observer newspaper and received the 2016 Talk of the Town and Pulse of the City 5 star awards for excellence in customer service.
We’ve worked hard for our reputation. We strive to go above and beyond for our customers…they become a member of our extended family. We strive to provide the type of personal customer service that is not easily found in the service industry
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
HVAC systems are definitely becoming more high-tech and energy efficient, which is really exciting.
Customers have a variety of exciting options available to them now, compared to past years. We pride ourselves on staying on the cutting edge of the industry’s technological advancements.
