Meet Claudia Arguelles of Pupsicles HTX in Central and East

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Arguelles.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a student currently working towards an MBA at the University of St. Thomas. I have always had a passion for animals, especially dogs, and love feeding my dogs clean and healthy treats.

Has it been a smooth road?
There have been many learning experiences and bumps along the way but we have met some amazing people that have helped with great advice and guidance. We still have a long way to go, but are sure that we will get there soon.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Our story starts with a sweet and sassy dog, as most stories do. Daisy is an 11lb fluffy Yorkie. She has been by my side for 10 amazing years (and counting). She is always there when I need kisses, snuggles or cuddles. Three years ago Daisy started getting sick from processed treats and I knew something needed to change. I didn’t want Daisy to not be able to enjoy treats anymore so I decided to make her tasty, natural, and frozen treats!
Why frozen? Because Houston enjoys the summer for 10 months; an exaggeration, but you get the picture!

I am most proud of being able to supply Houston dogs with tasty, all natural, preservative free treats. What set us apart from others is that we are the only company offering all natural, craft “ice cream” for dogs.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Houston is a great place to start a new business. We are so culturally diverse that there is a market for just about anything. Texans love supporting fellow Texas companies!
