Meet Denzel Lamar Washington of Black Owned Enterprise Mag x BOE The Podcast in Central

Today we’d like to introduce you to Denzel Lamar Washington.

Denzel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Since the early age of 13, I’ve appeared in several national commercials, short films, TV pilots, theater productions, and print ads. Working with top brands like Bank of America, Google, Apple, WETV, and Almond Joy to name a few. My ability to bring my own personality and style has kept me in the entertainment game for over 15 years strong. A native of Houston, Texas, now bi-coastal (Los Angles, NYC, Houston, & ATL), my ultimate goal is to continue to do what I love while spreading love, inspiration, and knowledge.

While acting, modeling, and hosting seemed to be my area of expertise. I also took favor in being behind the camera as well. Summer 2016 I launched my very own creative and production company call DLW CREATIVE” in addition to my TV Network “DLWTV”. Since then, I’ve directed, produced, written, and starred in multiple projects of my own.

In addition to the entertainment industry, I also label myself a serial entrepreneur. The ability to build a business from ground up is extremely challenging, although rewarding as well. Just recently I entered the real estate, magazine, podcast, and investment industry to name a few.

For me, success doesn’t have a limit. I believe you will only be as successful as the thoughts you think, and my thoughts are legacy driven.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
To me there is no such thing as success without struggle, hard work, patience, and consistency. No matter the industry you enter, there will always be challenges along the way. I believe that true greatness rises whenever everything around you falls. That’s why everyday I choose to rise.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Black Owned Enterprise Mag x BOE The Podcast – what should we know?
If you know me then you know I have my hands in a little bit of everything. My recent business venture is my magazine “Black Owned Enterprise” and Podcast, “BOE The Podcast”. I wanted to give my magazine readers another way to keep up with my content. And what better way to do that than starting a podcast.

BOE The Podcast is the black entrepreneurs perspective on current topics/issues today. The podcast will bring a millennial’s point of view to the ears of the listeners. I’ve also launched the BOE Store, where readers and listeners can go and purchase dope fashion, home decor, and accessories.

Launching 10.3.19, I’m extremely excited to see where this new venture takes me. I believe that conversation pushes us forward in many ways. With the help of a few of my professional friends from different industries, I believe we can do just that.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I’m extremely big on family and close friends. Without the help of certain people in my life at the right times, none of this would be possible. I thank God everyday for all of the beautiful people in my life.
