Meet Dianne Josephs of Atelier 1505 in The Heights

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dianne Josephs.

Dianne, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After working as an Interior Designer for over 30 years, it was time for a new adventure.

We had recently down-sized from our River Oaks home and had many fine antiques that would no longer fit into a smaller home.

Also, as many of my clients had wonderful items in storage, it was time.

Atelier 1505 is a resource for High-End Antiques and Fine Art.

Every year brings more inventory of the Quality, we never even expected.

One Consignor even shipped his French Antiques to Atelier from Switzerland.

After being listed on 1st Dibs and many popular Quality websites, sales are going through the roof. Dealers and Designers from around the world have purchased and a few have even flown in from Europe to buy from us.

Best of all, my husband, Bob and I are having a wonderful time.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The shop had a very slow start because of our location, in that it was previously a warehouse district just south of The Heights.

It is now one of the fastest growing and hippest neighborhoods known as “The Art District” and just off of Washington Ave. a major “Restaurant Area”

Probably the most important factor is the Internet and all of the quality websites that represent Atelier 1505.

Atelier 1505 – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I guess that the shop is most unusual in that we sell very High-End Antiques and Fine Art Consignments.

Our collections include Beautiful 19th Century Impressionists Paintings that have appealed to dealers in the U.S. and Europe.

Statuary fine enough, that have brought sales from both France and Palm Beach Dealers.

We basically sell items in almost every category.

Every piece is edited for quality.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?

Selling the finest available, fair priced items that pleases both the Consignor and the Buyer.

Making new friends and loving what we do!
