Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Keiffer.
Haley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Our journey with Macy’s Miracles started a little over 2 years ago when we were faced with transitional planning for our daughter, Macy. Macy was born with Chromosome 17 partial deletion, with a rare seizure disorder and is on the autism spectrum.
When Macy was born the doctors told us Macy wouldn’t walk or talk; which she clearly proved them wrong. When she was 16 during her high school ARD meeting we were told the best to expect is our daughter working below entry-level employment and dependent on state benefits. As a mother knowing there was so much more within my child, I could not and would not accept those limitations placed on Macy.
If that would have been what Macy wanted we would of celebrated it, however, we knew she had a flame inside of her to do more! This is the cause that inspired us to create Macy’s Miracles to Educate, Elevate and Empower our special needs community with entrepreneurial/mentorship programs. From that, we expanded our platform with incorporating “Music Monday”, “Special Siblings”, “A.C.E.” and even partnered with Millions Against Bullying to create anti-bullying initiatives on a state, federal and global level.
We saw the way Macy’s Miracles transformed Macy’s life and knew if we could do this for Macy we could do it for so many others. Our mission is to empower our special needs communities worldwide by removing the limitations to raise the individuals thru inclusion!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As one can expect our road has not been easy however it has been worth it. We have had to deal with Macy’s complex medical needs which required multiple hospitalizations. Macy struggles with uncontrolled seizures and developmental delays which affect her sleep-wake cycle.
Despite her medical conditions it never stops Macy from inspiring those she meets whether it is on the red carpets, singing for her Music Mondays or volunteering within her community. Although the challenges with Macy’s health, we have been blessed with the profound support of our special needs communities globally.
Please tell us about Macy’s Miracles.

Macy’s Miracles has incorporated inclusion based events to remove the limitations to raise our individuals!
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I couldn’t say we would do anything different as the journey has been a beautiful one!
