Today we’d like to introduce you to Hunter Neesley.
Hunter, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always LOVED any type of organization and planning. From small birthday parties to larger galas and everything in between. In college, I was able to work with different planners and learn my own techniques. After working events and weddings for almost 5 years, I decided to take the leap and start my own company!
I wanted to be able to add my own heart and experience into every event I was part of. I now plan all types of events but specialize in weddings (because brides and grooms are the best!) I have since grown from Houston and surrounding areas to weddings all around Texas!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Like most small business, I have always struggled with comparing my beginning to other companies who have been open for years. Age and experience are a big hurdle to overcome. Clients feel that unless you have been in the industry for 20+ years, you can’t offer the same quality of services.
Ultimately, I can only change my age once a year but I can continue to find the best way to serve my clients and continue growing myself. It is difficult to track my “success” but overall my journey has been amazing and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am a small business and I am proud of the hands-on and personal touch that I can offer!

Neesley Events is a boutique wedding planning service based in Houston, Texas. We strive to create a planning process where functionality meets simplicity. While working with any type of client on any type of budget. We have customization packages for different brides.
We are an addition to the big day and would never want to take away from any other part of the wedding. Delivered by a team who genuinely cares about each individual client and event, Neesley Events takes great pride in helping you coordinate all your wedding details into a stress-free and fabulous wedding for you, your families and your guests.
I am most proud of how our company creates a completely stress-free experience for not only the bride and groom but their families and bridal party as well. What really sets us apart is how we connect with the couples! We love to hear all about the couple, their family, and their plans for the future. My favorite thing is learning how the couple met and how God has impacted their lives.

Wow. There are SO many people who have been on this walk with me. I have incredible industry friends! Sarah Melyssa Photography has been with me through the beginning and is able to be there when things get rough. My teammates and friends are always willing to step in when needed for larger events.
My family has been there pushing me to continue doing what I love through it all! My sister, Ryan, is my biggest cheerleader and always helps me when I am in need (mostly dealing with my wardrobe), my brother, AJ, and his wife, Andrea, let me plan their wedding as my FIRST SOLO wedding (that is some serious trust), my parents, Michelle and Greg, not only put me through college but they continue to promote me with people they meet every day! My husband, Andrew, has been my emotional support through it all. When I come home after a 15 hour day he is always there to tell me how proud he is!
