Meet Jamila Anderson of Parker J’s Hair Care in Northwest

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamila Anderson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jamila. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started doing hair a little over 10 years ago and I always dreamed of making products without chemicals. I took time during the summer the last few years and perfected my recipes and finally built up the courage to share my products with the world.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a struggle trying to grow my brand. The startup cost and balancing being a wife, mother, and having a full-time job has made it an adventurous journey. It is worth it to me. I love how I am beginning to build up enough customers who believe in my vision of HEALTHY hair care.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Parker J’s Hair Care – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Parker J’s is a natural hair care line. We make natural hair care products and specialize in healthy hair. The company provides products for all textures of African-American natural hair. We also make wigs for all women.

I am proud of how we make everything from scratch so there is no question of the integrity of our products. We are proud to be family owned and operated.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We eventually want to expand our product line. We want to have all things hair, from shampoo to color, to styling tools. We want to be a one-stop shop. We plan to continue to remain an online store for the most part so we can reach the masses and take a headache out of finding quality hair care.
