Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathy Crosby and Michele Gallagher.
Kathy and Michele were two stay at home moms that volunteered actively in PTO, church and the community.
As the children got older, they had the desire to get back into the workforce, but still wanted to be available for their families.
Michele has previously owned a business in database developing and Kathy owned an event planning company. Both of those companies fell by the wayside when children came along. Now that the kids were older, they both had the desire to not only contribute financially to the family, but also continue serving the community.
From the beginning, Kathy and Michele had a goal to work together in real estate doing what they love, and they wanted to share their passion of real estate with others. Through the years, they’ve developed a solid foundation of real estate knowledge, the expertise necessary to navigate any transaction, and the integrity to follow up on promises.
Early on, as they began to develop the company and carve their niche in the big world of real estate, they quickly realized that there was a distinct need for certain real estate services they originally did not foresee. So they decided to create a set of companies – where in collaboration with one another, they would offer a package of services under one large umbrella, known as “Good Move Properties”.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Every day offers an opportunity to learn and we will admit that we don’t know everything. The amazing thing about real estate is that it is ALWAYS different. Real estate is a people business. So in each transaction, you deal with different people whom all have their own stories and reason to be selling or buying a home. Each house is different and also has its own story.
Real estate is also a highly emotional business. With multiple people involved (seller, buyer, title company, insurance, lenders, contractors, inspectors, appraisers) it is sometimes difficult to navigate the timeline and get everyone on board, seeing eye to eye.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Good Move Properties story. Tell us more about the business.
