Meet Kee Eddings of Kizz My Passport

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kee Eddings.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My love for travel began during our family summer road trips. Growing up with a big family we weren’t able to travel on exotic trips but, my parent’s always made sure to take us on at least one road trip vacation a year. Now, while I hated the hours it took to get places, I loved the adventures of seeing the world. To some a road trip to different states was nothing but, for me it was everything! It was the gateway into new cultures, new people, new experiences, but most importantly new memories with my family. As my love for travel grew so did my desire to go abroad. I was able to purse that love through study abroad while a student at the University of Memphis. This opportunity allowed me to take advantage of exploring international boundaries which was a game-changer.

Throughout the years I became an avid traveler hitting 6 of the 7 continents. I began assisting friends & family by organizing numerous group trips, wedding party travels, and corporate travel logistics. After seeing the need of young professionals to have work-life balance and to bring attention to passport awareness, I began building my travel agent career. After several years of travel consultation and not being satisfied the way big host agencies lacked training and community support I opened my own host agency three years ago. I betted on myself with a goal to help people learn cultures, promote self-growth, & explore the world with travel. I found a passion to help others to gain passports and see the world. Now Kizz My Passports has a team of travel agents that are helping others live our motto best, More Adventures, Less Stress.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest challenge was finding the right people to help in my building process. Often people look at new business entering the market as a competitor instead of an opportunity to collaborate so it was challenging to begin but I am so glad to have been linked with a few ladies that helped me work through my biggest challenges and were open to answering questions and being supportive! Huge shout our to girl bosses who build and collaborate! Kay, Shanterria, Stacy, Candice, Nora, Sharisha, & Nicole I don’t know where I would be without you all support!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Kizz My Passport – what should we know?

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Faith, Integrity, and Persistence are the most important characteristics that I feel have been most important to my success. Being persistent and having faith are needed when starting a business because often you may become discouraged or have doubt but, I encourage entrepreneurs to live by those qualities because it will take you so far. I remain persistent by celebrating the small wins, I kept the faith my never giving up on my purpose, and I kept my Integrity by documenting with integrity my buildout process fails, wins, and draws. By documenting my process, I have been able to help so many others in building their travel brands and businesses.
