Meet Kristin Kotzebue of Pink Clay in West

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Kotzebue.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kristin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It was time to launch my newest fitness challenge, and I went to do what I always did. Post before and after pictures of women who had already been through the program to share the results they got. These were usually pictures taken in a sports bra and shorts or underwear, displaying how she had lost weight and inches. I couldn’t do it. I had zero desire to post a picture and have another woman join my group with the hopes of looking like that too. Comparing herself to that image, wishing she could look like that image, and hating her body for it. I didn’t want people to feel like those pictures were how they were supposed to look. I wanted people to join me for this fitness challenge because they loved themselves; they wanted to gain energy and feel their best. Not because they hated their body and wanted to change!

I just wanted to say, “I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR ABS. I WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY!” I knew right then that after five years and over 900 clients, I didn’t want to be a health and fitness coach anymore. There was a bigger problem, and it had nothing to do with what our bodies looked like on the outside, the latest ab moves, or diet trends. The problem was on the inside. I looked at my two little girls and NEVER wanted them to compare themselves to other women and think that they are not enough not pretty enough, not skinny enough, not talented enough. Enough is Enough!

It became my mission to inspire women to look more at who God says they are instead of who the world says they are. To lift one another and focus on progress, not perfection, community not a comparison, faith over fear, and finding inner peace and purpose through Christ! Isaiah 64:8 says, “We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hands.” That’s how Pink Clay was born! “Pink,” because we’re ladies, and “Clay” because we are the clay to God, our potter!

You were made for a purpose by God himself. You are enough. You are beautiful. You have so much to offer. God does not call the qualified. He qualifies the called. So let’s boldly step out in faith and become the person He created us to be!

For some of you, that might mean starting your own small business, being at the top of the Forbes List, becoming the Teacher of the Year, or becoming the BEST stay at home momma to your babies while rocking PJs. All roles matter. All are important. After I stopped fitness coaching, I started getting asked questions about how I built my business online over the last five years. I started training other entrepreneurs on different tools and strategies I used. I realized I loved teaching and it was so rewarding to help others build their passions into a thriving business too!

I started my online course, Simplifying Social, which is a “go at your own pace” virtual course for anyone looking to grow their mission or business online but finds social media to be very time consuming and overwhelming. With Simplifying Social, you will get easy to implement the system in place to show up on social media with ease! It’s how you consistently grow a business online without the hustle or compromising your time on things that matter the most! So there it is my mission is half-life coaching, half business coaching, but everything I do is to help women get out of their own way and start living their life on purpose! Whether or not you’re here to grow in your everyday life, strengthen your faith, or build a business that thrives, I’m here to cheer you on!

I hope when you come to my website, podcast, YouTube channel, Instagram, workshops, or any other Pink Clay platform. You feel a little happier, a little more motivated, a little closer to Jesus, a little more supported, and a little more inspired to move forward in faith towards whatever it is you feel called to be.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Thankfully there haven’t been any huge problems along the way, but I do think that anything worth having is never easy! Starting a business, making change, and going for your dreams will force you to get out of your comfort zone and encounter challenges! So many people don’t move forward or give up when an obstacle gets in their way because they think, “I don’t know how to do that!” or “Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be.” But I believe Marie Forleo when she said, “Everything is Figureoutable”! I believe nothing stands in our way except ourselves, and if we want it, we go for it. We can google, YouTube, and research how to do anything and figure it out! We are capable of so much more than we think we are, and I have faith knowing that if I keep taking action, God will lead me exactly where He wants me to go!

Please tell us about your work.
Pink Clay is all about helping women overcome fear, gain confidence, and boldly step in to who God created them to be in both life AND business! I have a podcast called Forward In Faith with Kristin Kotzebue, that encourages others to be of PROGRESS, not perfection COMMUNITY not a comparison, FAITH not fear and supporting one another to bridge the gap between the women we are today, and the woman God is calling us to be. I have so much fun every week, sharing different struggles I’ve overcome, funny stories, or inspiring interviews to help others feel motivated to go for the things they want out of life! We talk about everything from marriage, confidence, business ideas, liming beliefs, and so much more!

I also work as a social media strategist who helps entrepreneurs simplify social media to scale their business online with ease. We’ve all been there, staring at our phones, wondering what picture to post, what creative caption to use, and what about hashtags?! It’s like a dark rain cloud over our heads until we finally push POST and feel relief that we finally got it done! What should take no time at all ends up taking an hour of our day! That’s why I created, Simplifying Social because we should be showing up on social but not at the expense of intentional time with our loved ones or other money making aspects of our business. When we put a system in place, it gives us back that time to spend on the things that matter most!

I am so proud of the fact that we are not just changing people’s business, but we’re changing their lives! Helping women stop living on autopilot, truly overcoming “someday syndrome” and living for TODAY! To see them say goodbye to the stress, hustle, and overwhelm, and that is such a gift! Nothing brings me greater joy than to cheer others on and watch them grow in their faith and go for their dreams! I am looking forward to doing speaking engagements in 2020! Whether its a personal development event or a business event, I can’t wait to encourage women in person, hear their stories, and give them tangible advice to be their best!
