Meet LiL Crevm

Today we’d like to introduce you to LiL Crevm.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I started making music because of my uncle. I heard a handful of his music, and I was amazed by it! The way he scripted his lyrics and how he layed them down. So I wanted to make music as well. He taught me a lot about music, and to me, he’s a genius! After a couple of years of writing my own music, me and my cousin “MelloMike” came together and started a group labeled “FamilyTreez” !! Later came in “tdashknoakatno” “Lil Joe” “KLOUD” !! All with different styles as well. Based out of Rosenberg/Richmond (TwinCity)!!

Please tell us about your art.
I make music based off my emotions! How I’m feeling at the time or the situation I’m in. I like the hype so I have music that u can turn up to! But who I am as a person is blunt af so I also make chill music that you can smoke and ride to lol I started making music to get away from life atm. I just wanted to free my mind the best way I knew how. I don’t like venting to people, so making music was the best way to do it! Put all my thoughts and feelings in some songs! The message I wanna send is to be yourself. Growing up, I’ve seen people try to impress people they shouldn’t have, and I wasn’t with all that! I always wanted to stand out, and just me being myself was the only way I knew how.

Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
I’m currently in that situation, but what I did with what I had was buy certain music equipment like a mic, mic stand, pot filter, and a $100 studio. Instead of me going to an actual studio and spending money per hour, I just create at home to develop my style as much as I want. Using my free time to be in my studio. Work a job and stack up some money than when you’re actually ready to be in a real studio you can spend that money.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
SoundCloud and YouTube, mostly. I post a lot on my Facebook as well. Links and whatnot.
