Meet Rachel Davis of Davis Culinary Creations

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Davis.

Rachel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started out as a classroom teacher and never really thought about cooking. My mother cooked for the family. Once I got married, I realized I needed to learn how to cook. I began to watch food-network and talk with my mom. Sandra Lee’s Semi-Homemade, seemed to be a show I could easily learn from. I thought maybe cooking would not be so bad. I discovered that I liked to cook. I soon wanted to start making my dishes from scratch and a little healthier. I took a few cooking classes and watched more food network. Now 8 years later, I have my own business. The business of cooking.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road. I have had a few rough patches in my business. I had to learn that everyone does not have the same pallet.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Davis Culinary Creations – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We specialize in healthy gourmet foods. As a company, we are able to cook many cuisines. Davis Culinary Creations does meal prep, personal chef services, meal delivery and catering. We are mobile, therefore we come to our customers.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are looking to forward to obtaining a store front. We would like our customers to come in and get their meals, if they would like to do so, while maintaining our delivery service as well. As a company, we would also like to offer classes to our customers, so they will be able to eventually cook healthy meals for their family as well.

She makes the best food. As a personal chef and a caterer, she couldn’t have made me more happy.
