Today we’d like to introduce you to Rick Raanes.
Rick, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started in the business in 2004 with Prudential Gary Greene. We switched to Keller Williams in April of 2008 and the business started to take off. My wife joined our team in April of 2012, and in January of 2015, we hired our first buyer’s agent. In June of this year, we partnered with the Forest Home Team with Keller Williams and then made the move to join EXP Realty and created a team of RockStar Real Estate Agents.
We have been blessed each year of our career to reach new sales numbers, selling more homes every year of our business. We feel like we planted a super acorn and that acorn is now a large Oak Tree. Our Texas RockStar Group has grown into a team of 12 producing agents and 3 staff. We are tracking nearly 180 homes sold this year and our group of agents are having fun again selling real estate.
Has it been a smooth road?
Our biggest challenge today is integrating the wonderful technology tools into our business that our customers and clients will enjoy and understand. This business is and always be about the personal relationship. Keeping in touch the exact way each of our past 600 clients prefer is our main goal. We want to be available when they are and having the ability to reach out in so many ways, keeps us on our toes.

Our team is dedicated to helping our clients use their real estate as tools to grow their personal net worth. Whether it is owning one home or several, our ability to keep money in our clients pocket is really neat. Over the years our main area of sales has primarily been in the north Houston suburbs. With our team growth, we are now ready to roll out our 5-star plans to cover all of Houston and then into the other major markets of Texas. I am most proud of our consistent growth and client satisfaction over the years.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
The growth of Houston has been nothing short of amazing. The real estate industry is set up so that each agent can be successful helping a small number of people each year. This helps create a very personal experience for each client we have. We are committed to helping each agent on our team help 36 people per year. This will allow the right amount of time to dedicate to exceeding the expectations.
