Today we’d like to introduce you to Skyler Stewart.
Skyler, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Graduated college from the University of Texas at San Antonio graduated summer 2013 with a BS in Kinesiology Exercise Science. It all started during my internship within the Valero Corporation with this company called MediFit. During the internship process, I realize the corporate Way was not for me so all the information and work that I had to throughout that time at took and created my own company. I started out giving away free programs for all people regardless if you had hip replacements, wanted to lose weight, gain muscle it could’ve been anything I just wanted to get my name out there. So when I move back to Houston, I had a little buzz and immediately got clients once I move back summer 2013. About a year and a half into being independent I got recruited by the company call Camp Gladiator and my business exploded.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My path has had his ups and downs from have a family who couldn’t see the vision, doubters, and things like that but for any aspiring entrepreneur that’s normal. The biggest struggle was waking up at 4am everyday! I am not a morning person but it built a new sense of character in Drive that would propel me to placing and things I couldn’t imagine.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Sky Fitness and Wellness Houston – what should we know?
I specialize in group training and also strength training which is probably what I’m most known for. What I’m most proud of is the sense of confidence that I give people when they crush a goal they thought they’d never meet or just being that one hour me time for that person going through a hardship and just needs a positive outlet. I feel I was has me apart from others is a culture and the community atmosphere I provide for someone straight off the couch and that Ex top-level athlete. I can reach all spectrums.
