Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Lozada.
Diana , let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
For many years I suffered from extreme back pain. Eventually, the pain became so intense that I couldn’t even stand straight, impacting everything I did throughout the day – even how I thought. When I went to see a sports doctor, he recommended that I try a combination of physiotherapy and acupuncture.
Unfortunately, the pain only got worse.
After rounds of exams and x-rays, I was told to try yoga. And, once that failed, I sought out Pilates and other types of stretching and mild exercise to try to ease the pain. To my dismay, none of what I was trying was working.
In fact, my pain got so excruciating one day that I had to go to the emergency room, where, after an MRI, I was diagnosed with an immune disease known as Ankylosis Spondylitis (AS), as well as a dislocated disc in my back. I was told that I would have to be on medication for the rest of my life.
But I refused to accept that reality.
Rather than giving up, I focused on what I could do to get better. As I researched, I came across auto-inflammatory diets and returned to stretching, Pilates, and yoga, which we’re working better now that I knew what was actually going on in my body. I managed to get referred to the top clinic in North America specializing in AS and, after just a few months of following my own natural regimen, I was told by the doctor that not only was my inflammation under control, but my disease was actually no longer active. I slowly took all of my medication away from my system.
At that moment, I realized what I had done – I had learned how to take care of myself, allowing my body to do what it’s designed to do: Heal.
Since then, I changed my career in the Financial Industry and dedicated myself to learn about nutrition and movement. I studied Integrated Nutrition at IIN, NY, I became a certified Hot Inferno Pilates Teacher, and currently obtaining Original Pilates Training through Real Pilates, NY. I’m using my skills as a leader and coach, as well as my optimistic and compassionate personality, to help others live their best life – and it all starts with nutrition.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Media and society expectations impact us every day. Misleading advertising and lack of real information influence the decision about we feel about ourselves. Body image is a big issue, food regulations or the lack of, are issues to be addressed. We are all immersed into that platform, everything seemed ok until my health was sacrificed, and doctors didn’t have all of the answers for me. I realized I need to do my own research, obtain other opinions, and learn more about my health. Knowledge is power, I’m so hungry and curious about it that I’m actually creating Wellness Online Community Book Club with some friends. Nutrition + Movements = Wellbeing
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Vibras Wellness – what should we know?
My mission is to help busy women like myself discover how to create sustainable habits that will make you look good and feel even better by learning how to leverage the power of Integrative Nutrition. Diets don’t work, knowledge about eating healthy its important but the implementation and accountability is what creates the difference; the real transformation (inside and out). I am committed to inspiring and empower to finally help people break free from an unhealthy relationship with food, tapping into their own intuition so that they can thrive at everything they do, personally and professionally.

So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well-positioned for?
Yes, this is the opportunity to use the access to knowledge and communication to inspire each other and learn from each other. Set our mind free from false conceptions and work toward action. As women, we create community and we thrive to serve it. It’s our time to create equity!
