Meet Trailblazer Sarah Bosenbury

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Bosenbury.

Sarah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Barn Shark is a little thought that’s always been in the back of my mind. I never knew what it would be called or how it would become a business but I knew I had a passion for a certain type of lifestyle and I wanted to be successful while helping others grow.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road. It never will be. Being a woman in business is a difficult thing. I firmly believe there are still not enough women supporting other women in this world. The fact of the matter is we cannot get anywhere without each other’s support. It is most important to surround yourself with people who believe in you and push you to do better. We should all be striving to put jealousy and hate aside and simply work towards bringing out the best in each other!

We’d love to hear more about Barn Shark Supply Co.
The name Barn Shark came from my family’s love for country lands and coastal waters here in Southeast, Texas. We’re so appreciative of the diversity we have right here in our own back yard. We wanted to create a brand that represents that vision and lifestyle but make sure we incorporate organizations that contribute to keeping our lands and oceans beautiful and safe. Being a family of 12, myself and my husband, two small boys, and our three dogs, three cats, and two fish, we want to encourage youth to be excited about the outdoors but respect it as well. We sell colorful apparel and goods on our site for anyone who wants to be a part of the Barn Shark Tribe. I am also featured as an artist, providing art and fun coloring sheets to anyone who wants to show their creativity with me!

What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
Be yourself. Literally. Be bold. Be unique, and never let go of your visions!
