Today we’d like to introduce you to Tryshell Robertson.
Tryshell “Chef T” Robertson was raised in the food capital of the south, New Orleans, Louisiana aka “The Big Easy,” where the culture is food and fun. At a young age, Chef T was inspired by her Southern grandmothers and their love for bringing people together through cooking New Orleans favorites. In 2015, Chef T’s culinary repertoire flourished at the Nunez Community College, under the guidance of two awards winning “ACFNO Chef of the Year” chefs, Chef Ruth Varisco and Chef Anastasia Joyner, where she developed and refined her culinary techniques. In 2018, Chef T and her high school sweetheart and now wife Raven Robertson opened small Catering and Cooking Class company in Katy, Texas. After competing on Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race Season 11 Holiday Hustle in 2019, the duo has decided to work to open their food truck. For now, you can follow them on Facebook and Instagram at Munched_Out for upcoming pop-up shops and details on how to book your cooking class. You can even find some fun easy recipes if your Subscribe to Chef T’s YouTube channel Munched Out.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a company from the bottom up comes with many obstacles and challenges from moving to a new city where no one knows you or your talent. Living in a millennium where everyone goes off what the “Social Media” portrays as good. Growing our company hasn’t been a smooth road, and we are sure most company roads are not smooth or everyone would be opening businesses and staying open.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Our favorite childhood memory is the summer we met. It was at a great camp in Algiers, Louisiana Cut-Off Gym. That summer we got to go to concerts, basketball games, community pools and many more things and for free. The most memorable part about that summer is we met each other.
