Today we’d like to introduce you to TyAngela Hunter.
TyAngela, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always enjoyed planning parties, I believe it is a trait I got from my mother, our home was always the home where we had family parties and holidays. Our family is pretty big with my mom having 9 brothers and sisters this was never a small task. After doing a 6 months of just research planning my own wedding I developed a bug for the wedding industry, only to be ignited by helping my uncle plan his wedding soon after I was hooked. Before officially launching my business I dove deep into everything I wedding planning and spent a year before opening trying to prefect my customer experience. I am always looking for new ways to not only make my couples wedding day an experience of a lifetime but to streamline the planning process so that it fits perfectly into their already busy lives.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Easy road to starting your own business? Said no one ever, if they did it was a hobby. Venturing out to do this was not an easy task. Knowing what you want to do, then figuring out the steps it takes to make it happen, requires you to do a little bit daily. I struggle every day to not let my day to day life hold me back from moving forward in my business, learning to step out of my comfort zone to push myself every day. Things are not always going to happen as quickly as you want them too, and you have to be okay with that and just keep going. Dreams are Free, Hustle is sold separately is a quote I have on my desk to remind myself every day that nobody is going to hand you what you want, you have to motivate yourself to make your dream a reality.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Beautiful Dream Events – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a boutique style wedding planning firm, we specialize in full planning and design. I take each wedding I do very personally and believe that’s why my clients connect with me. They know that I am invested in their day as a partner to develop their dreams I work to get a clear understanding of not only who they are, but I want a clear understanding of their story and carry that throughout their wedding experience in a way to share their story with their guest. I believe that it’s not only their wedding day that should create the memories of a life time but the journey it took to get them to their day.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future are pretty concrete right now, I hope to always find new ways to develop my craft, and always partner with couples who trust my process. I love the relationships I have developed with my Houston friends in the event industry and am always on the lookout for new small businesses to connect with. As far as expanding my business I think for now I will remain a small company I love getting to work with every couple, I don’t think I would ever want to change that.
