Meet Whitney Glasscock of TheWhitLife

Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Glasscock.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been in the health and wellness industry for about five years now. I was an athlete growing up, in and out of habitual health and fitness routines yo-yoing through my early 20’s. I have an Associates of Science but never went back to get a degree from university simply out of procrastination of truly NOT knowing what I was genuinely interested in! So after years of bartending, an office job I hated, I started an at home business as a distributor with ItWorks Global! I fell in love with the idea of being able to work for myself and create my own paycheck based off of how hard I hustled, it was one of the reasons I had decided to stick with bartending for as long as I did. Within eight months of starting that business I was making more doing it part-time than I was at my full-time office job, so I peaced out and haven’t clocked into a J-O-B since. That company has truly changed my life in more ways than one. It showed me how much ambition I had inside of me even at such a young age. It showed me how to fall in love with the freedom of my time, that I have a passion for travel, and helped me become in better shape than I have in my entire life. The products are incredible, they transformed my health and habits in ways I didn’t even realize I needed!

And because of that, I reconnected with and grew a true passion for fitness! After spending an entire year traveling “nomading” around if you will, let’s just say I ate and drank ALL THE THINGS! It was the most incredible experience of my life and also put me in the worst shape of my life. When returning home to Houston, I began personal training at Loganitus Gym. I worked on myself and my body every day and slowly but surely became more interested, educated, and obsessed with getting stronger. Fast forward to today I am currently 3 weeks out in prep for my very first NPC Bikini competition, am completing courses to get my personal training and nutrition license, and am launching a website thewhitlife.com to help offer personal online coaching for people who truly want to fall in love with their journey to looking and feeling their best! I love learning, and I love sharing with others what I’ve learned to help them gain from my experiences and I am so excited for the personal brand and business that lies ahead and to continue to help others find passion in health, life, and fitness like I have!

Has it been a smooth road?
Working for yourselfI’m s not for the faint of heart. It takes A TON of self-discipline, self-belief, hustle, and grit. We are so hard on ourselves. And when your lively hood depends on nothing more that YOU putting in the work it can take a toll mentally and emotionally. BUT! It is also the most rewarding experience you can ever give yourself. It gives you the complete freedom of your time, experiences, and resources. It truly teaches you who YOU ARE as a person. And it allows you to grow in ways and situations you never knew you could have so much fun strength in! There’s been times I’ve felt like I was GOOD! And there have been times I have not known how I’m even going to make it. But I will never take a W for granted, just like I will never take an L to heart. I’ll build from the ground up as many times as it takes.

Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
My business is helping others become happier and healthier. It’s a journey that never ends. You’re never going to be perfect and there is forever room for improvement and setting higher goals for yourself! And I want to help show people they can squash their self-limiting beliefs and become the highest version of themselves they want to see. If I had to pick my best quality in business I would say it was connecting with people, and I’m very proud of that. I am a very empathetic person, and I have been through A LOT of life and experience. Good and bad. And because of that I feel like I truly know how to connect with people on a level of understanding that helps me truly create relationships with them even from the very first time meeting. I love people. Plain and simple. And that’s a quality I feel everyone needs.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Houston is home. The diversity, alone, sets the city so far apart of any other place you could live. I love everything Houston has to offer. I’ve always said the because of the freedom of my job I know I could live anywhere I want, but I don’t want to leave. I love it here! If I HAD to pick something I disliked about our city. I’d probably say traffic.
