Meet Cameron Capps of Capmire Projects in Central

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Capps.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Cameron. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started off working for major home builders in the suburbs of Houston back in 2004. I worked my way in to custom home building in Bellaire, then moved on to start my own company. I wanted to give people a better experience than the other builders gave their clients. I was just tired of the way homebuilders could just take complete advantage of people. So I decided to start my own business based on my bad experiences with the people I used to work for. I would like to believe we succeeded in that goal.

Has it been a smooth road?
It is never a smooth ride. I started with a partner who left me, he is out of business now. Survived the market crash intact. I had 3 past employees come and go, 1 for personal reasons, 1 because he moved, the other I had to let go. It is a constant struggle keeping a full staff, but we have overcome those obstacles over and over. Of course, remodeling is tough in general, so it’s always a challenge we are up for.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Capmire Projects – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a small company. Just 2 of us. We mainly perform kitchen and bath remodeling and additions.

We are most proud of our honesty and integrity and communication compared to our competitors. I believe we are the best at that.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the diversity of Houston, We get to work with so many different clients from all over. It’s fun. The traffic that is what I like least about this City. I bet that is a popular answer!
