Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Gonzalez.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Elizabeth. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a Freelance Makeup Artist in Houston, Tx.
I graduated from QC Makeup Academy in May of 2017 and got my Master International Makeup professional certification. I am a Houston fire wife and have two beautiful children. I am blessed to be a makeup artist and I love what I do. I got started when my husband saw how great I was with applying makeup and encouraged me to pursue it and I did! Little did I know, I would fall in love with all the women I encounter and the relationships that come with the business!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The struggles for me was getting started although I attended a makeup school, I had no idea how to begin. I reached out to some amazing friends of mine that connected me with other artists in the area for questions and I was blessed to have some inside on this business.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a freelance makeup artist specializing in weddings and Quinsañeras at the moment.
I am known for a smokey eye and nude lips but can create what best suits the clients based on their individual features.
I am proud that I decided to take a chance and start my own business I have seen so much progress in my business and my self personally!
What I feel sets me apart from other artist is that I have a warm bubbly personality and build relationships with all my clients. I love people and it shows through my personality and work.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I have been lucky to have worked with great people and clients even when they are mean, ugly and hard to get along with, I sprinkled some Liz into their life and it’s all Good! Lol!
I personally don’t believe in luck. Only in faith, blessings, and love.
