Meet Trailblazer Hannah Brower

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Brower.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Hannah. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
In middle school, I discovered that fashion was what I wanted to do. I had just started getting into it and my passion took off from there. Naturally, over the course of six years, my style has evolved as I grow more and more. I have been sharing my style through ‘outfit pictures ‘ for years now and I started off simply because I loved it and wanted to project my passion. I loved using photos to create a flow that also defines and enables me to share my style and experiences, via Instagram.

My creativity had begun to expand and I just became obsessed with creating content. I built up my following more as I attended events downtown and submerged myself into the scene. I met so many people and made so many connections with designers, photographers, models, etc.

I am no stranger to fashion and as I networked, I started getting requests to work more in modeling. It’s amazing to see how just by creating and showing who I am and what I love, I am seeing self-progression right in front of my eyes. So, through the years of just expressing myself, people began to notice and I am so proud of myself and grateful for everyone I have worked with.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every day I am so grateful for the opportunities and support that I receive/have received. I am fortunate enough to travel when and where I do, also giving me fashion inspiration. I feel so lucky that I have the most supportive parents ever that believe in me and everything I do.

With that being said, I have had a handful of struggles. I have had my own personal struggles involving an issue that I think is very present in the fashion and model industry. I won’t go into further details but I am so happy to say that I am confident in myself, who I am, and what I have become.

Another thing is, I think sadly, but evidently, there will be people who feel the need to tear others down and make them feel bad for what they do. My advice for you, and take it from me, is that if you love something with all your heart, do just that and do not let others change you. Believe in yourself because no dream is too big.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I travel, I create, I visualize, and I style. And I don’t stop. My life revolves around fashion; where I go, what I do, all of it involves fashion. It is my main focus in life and I am always thinking about what is next and what is beneficial.

I am a Nordstrom Fashion Ambassador which gives me an inside look into the industry with an amazing company. When I travel, my style correlates to where I am whether it be an event or traveling in a different country. Like a little fashion chameleon, haha, I’m always adapting. I am definitely known for my style, Instagram, and creativity which means a lot to me. I want to be able to influence people to be bold and express themselves.

Lately, with photo shoots, I have been bringing a new editorial look into my processes and ideas. I put A LOT of work into what I do, involving every creative aspect. My goal for every shoot is not to be basic but bring an advanced and interesting concept. I love combining two things I love, actual styling and modeling. I think because it’s evident that I know what I want and am completely obsessed with my dream, it is what makes me stand out. It is very clear when someone has ambition and is using it for the best and I hope everyone is pushing themselves to be the best they can.

So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
I don’t think women should be influenced to objectify themselves just because we are women. No role BELONGS to a woman. There are no specifics. Women should feel free to do whatever they want, without a doubt. More and more, women are reaching past these standards to pull our generation forward. There are girl bosses everywhere who own what they do and are confident and successful. Opportunities are opening every day for women to feel empowered and confident and this is so amazing to see as a young girl myself. Women hold extreme potential and the power of a #GirlBoss is REAL. Take me for example, I am only 17, and nothing is stopping me!
