Lisa, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always been a business owner and have enjoyed serving others. I created The Poop Squad Pet Waste Removal & Pet Sitting Services in 2015. It was a rough year….I started the company over a night I was suffering from insomnia. My husband had just recently been hospitalized from a pulmonary embolism. It was very scary to think what would happen if my husband would have been taken from me. I was reminded that nothing is certain, and life was short. It wasn’t to be taken for granted!
I prayed and ask God to allow me to come up with another business where I could provide for my family and myself if anything were to happen to my husband who was the current income. We also had had to board our Golden Retriever dogs while he was ill. They had never been boarded before. When we went to pick them up we were so disappointed that they were in small cages stacked on top of each other. I said never again!
I love people and animals. I feel as if companies have lost customer service. I wanted to have a company that really cares about people, their needs with their animals. We don’t just have pets, we have fur babies or fur families. When you can’t be there for them because work or life takes you away…. we will!
I also have dogs myself and I know as a responsible pet owner it is important to stay on top of your pets needs picking up their poop is important to their health. Keeping a clean environment. Pet Waste is harmful to pets and humans. I wanted a company to be serving others who were pet lovers like myself. I created The Poop Squad Pet Waste Removal & Pet Sitting Services to grow into a company dedicated to serving both families and pets. A company built on Christian morals and values. Customer service, meaning what you say and doing it.

In April 2015 my daughter had a brain bleed
In May 2015 my husband almost was taken from a pulmonary embolism
In June 2015 my sister was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer
In November 2015 I was diagnosed with 4 brain tumors
In December 2015 I had to have brain surgery
In between June 2015 and November 2015

There has been many struggles but my faith and perseverance, customers and family have encouraged me. I am a strong believer in working hard and earning my way. God has blessed me and continues to give me Grace.

I love the city for the opportunity to take an idea and watch it grow through people’s interest. The opportunity to meet people and help them to under the importance of why we should pick up pet waste. I would say because I’m all over the city and surrounding areas……I hate the traffic.
