Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Buentello.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Ever since I was a toddler, I have been fascinated by the runways, flashing cameras, and photography. While growing up, I would be approached for an opportunity within the industry. As I matured, I understood what the industry included and developed an infatuation for it. That drive was put into the outfits I choose every day in High School and branched out into what became my personal style. Back then high school was my platform in showing off my personal look prior to Instagram and other social media. Once Instagram became the “IT’ platform to express my creative style of fashion, I ventured off into this journey I’m on now. Along this journey, I’ve become involved with so many different boutiques and working with them to put my personal flare on their items. I love the feeling of acknowledgment in the efforts I make putting together my “outfit of the day” #ootd.
Please tell us about your art.
I’m a signed model, professional stylist, and fashion blogger. I love being able to express a message of confidence in the things I wear which others who see my feed will take and apply it to themselves in their personal way. What I always preach and hope people take away is that “labels” and “brand” isn’t what makes an outfit stand out but your own interpretation of the actual clothing. Don’t let the outfit wear you; you wear the outfit.
What do you think about the conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
I believe it’s becoming easier for artists to be able to express themselves and share their work through social media platforms. What I would encourage to help each other out is to be able to share the work of those artists, not everyone is work is the same, and we should be able to share that diversity of art and artist within the community. With that being said it becomes harder to keep your foot in the door when not everyone is on board with the idea of helping one another. We all have the same passion for what we do individually, and we should all be able to support that.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
Everyone is able to view my work through social media preferably Instagram. My handle is @a_fashionkidd_ Also they can view my comp card through TL Model Agency. People can support my work by leaving a comment on my outfit of the day or personal message if they’re interested in being styled by me for any events.
