Gloria, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It’s kind of a funny story about how everything came to be for me. I had bad work done on my face over 20 years ago and kept going back to the same place of business to “Fix It,” but unfortunately, the result kept getting worse! Before you judge me, this business was the only place in the whole city that offered that service, LOL! Annoyed, I remember thinking “how hard can it be?” After two years of trying to improve the mess they made, I decided to take a course to learn how to fix it myself, and I am proud to say I was successful! That’s how my gift was revealed to me, and my journey started. I have always been meticulous in everything I do and as I get older my creativity only amplifies. I can make anything beautiful from something flawed. I can fix and or improve filler, lack of symmetry, permanent makeup and enhance someone’s beauty effortlessly. I am not afraid to take on someone else’s mess, but truthfully, I wish people would get work done correctly the first time. You get what you pay for and the face is not the area to negotiate, just saying.
Has it been a smooth road?
I’m a huge believer in the law of attraction. Whatever you think, feel and say is what you call into existence. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve learned to focus on the positive things. When you feel gratitude, it is released into the universe and you get more of it in return. I believe that happiness is a choice, as is staying true to your faith

I love to improve flaws and enhance the beauty we already have, but subtly. You Glo is a medical spa that can take you from A to Z when it comes to your Aesthetic needs and body contouring. To name some of our services, we offer: skin care, cosmetic injectables such as dermal fillers, non-surgical nose jobs, face slimming, penis enhancement, Botox, skin pen, permanent makeup, microblading, HydraFacial, CoolSculpting, SMP, cavitation and more. For cancer survivors, we offer free microblading for brows and areola tattooing. For cleft lip clients we can improve the look of the lip by combining permanent makeup and dermal filler. Providing these free services for cancer and cleft lip clients is our way of giving back. At You Glo, we are known for our eye-for-detail and positive attitudes. We specialize in lips and noses but can perfect the whole face effortlessly. Our job is to build, love and inspire our clients. We see two clients in the morning and two in the afternoon so that we can take our time with each person. To enhance or modify the body is an art, we take great pride in our natural results. What sets us apart?
I can see the beauty in every feature, I know what to work on and what to leave alone. I will often say “don’t fix it if it isn’t broke.” However, I am a believer in enhancing what you already have if it will add to your overall beauty. I know first-hand what it feels like to get bad work done, to be insecure about what you see in the mirror. I take what I do seriously, and I am overjoyed when my clients leave happy and confident. We won’t tell you that you need something if you don’t, and we will never let you cross over, meaning that you will look natural and not overdone. Every time you come in to see us you will look and feel better. There will be no indication work has been done once the area has healed, but rather, you will be naturally enhanced and perfected. We are here to serve you.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Honestly, I feel like God favors Houston. We have great churches and so much diversity, which is why I believe we are so blessed. This is a great city and there is plenty of business and opportunity for all of us. If you can’t make money here, you won’t make money anywhere.
I believe that since our body has the honor of containing the soul, we should treat it as such, yet so often we leave it for last. Love yourself by making it a priority to look good, and in turn, you will also FEEL good.
God has given me the opportunity to guide and lift others through You Glo, and I give him the glory for all my work. What is important in life is how you make others feel, therefore we put our clients first and make sure to serve them in every way. We have weekly empowerment meetings at You Glo where we have guest speakers, preach to inspire, motivate and support each other. We welcome anyone and everyone to join us. Our goal is always to make you look and feel your best, we are here to serve you!
