Today we’d like to introduce you to Darian Hernandez.
Darian, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Baytown, TX, now living in my apartment with my awesome fiance, Kira. I am a 21-year-old, Singer-Songwriter, and small business owner based in Houston, TX.
I have been singing all my life and up until 16, I didn’t know how to play instruments. Since then, I’ve picked up multiple instruments along the way such as piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, and the drums! When I was 17, I was working to getting an audio engineering degree since it had something to do with music but it wasn’t until I attended a seminar, hosted by Landmark, that I realized what I really wanted to with life. And that was becoming a musician who could live off of music.
Since then, I have worked to and have accomplished that goal. By excelling in different types of work such as music lessons, singing telegrams, songwriting, composing, recording, and of course, performing! I have found a comfortable lifestyle enjoying my time with my soon-to-be wife, friends, and family.
I am now working to becoming an independent musician by building my following, giving my fans what they want, selling my music, and touring. With a fanbase of almost 40,000, I am sure that their help and everyone else, we can make it to that goal!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Hmm, the best way to describe those is to list them, hahaha!
2016 – Moved out of my parent’s house, learned to put away my pride after two months and move back in.
2015-2018 – Completed my Associate’s in Audio Engineering at Lee College, taught by none other than Sam Ortallano.
2016 – 2018 – Worked my way up the food chain to becoming manager of Marketing and Sales at a music school named, Lessons with Austin! Shout out to Austin Jones
2018 – Unfortunately, got scammed by a fake client, resulting in me owing over $15K,
However, I’m still pushing through. 💪🏽
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
My business is named after me, Darian Hernandez, and I specialize in music.
I am a full-time musician known for performing as one man band. I am proud of my customer service and I believe that is what sets me apart from others, on my website, I have over 60 5 star reviews and counting! I believe that having a good track record of working with clients, then other people will follow suit. I’m very thankful for my maturity and ability to speak well with others. After all, I was 18 when I started building my reputation, haha.

3. Austin Jones for being a mentor of mine and continuing to be. He helped jumpstart my career by showing me how to run a business, how to be a better musician, and giving me a place to work. 4. Danny Lopez, my booking agent! He books me gigs and critiques me on my work.
5. Winson Cooper, pastor of the church I play. He’s given me a Sunday home and has allowed me to play guitar, drums, keys for the church. The church, Mouth of God, promote Christianity, entrepreneurship, and prosperity for all. That’s what I love about it!
