Meet Tiese Jordan of A Natural Woman’s Touch Cleaning Service in Southwest

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiese Jordan.

Tiese, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I got started after quitting my job from another cleaning service for not paying me. Two former clients reachedout to me Louise Copley and Robin Taylor to clean their home. Louise Copley put me on Angie’s List with a good review. I started getting calls for services and the clients wrote great reviews of my work. I won best of Houston press 2011. I was award super service award from Angie’s list. My third year in business I had to hire two teams to clean forover 200 clients. Now I have been in business for 10yrs April 17th.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it wasn’t. Business was not steady, I learned the hard way how to run a business. I worked very hard to train employees to use my methods, but some tookshort cuts or did not follow instructions and the clients complained. I would have re-clean homes if a client complained for free. I would have clients I couldn’t clean because employees decide not to go to work. I have clients to cancel at the last minute or we get there but couldn’t get access to their home. I’m organic cleaning they are informed this when booking the appointment and clients would want to harsh chemicals. I also had clients who did not want to pay the agreed rate after the job was done. I had to learn new skills on the job: bookkeeping, marketing, and managing groups of employees. 

A Natural Woman’s Touch Cleaning Service – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m an organic cleaning service. We clean homes and building. We offer re-organizing, move in, move out, reconstruction cleaning, house sitting, organizing, clothing wash and fold services. I am proud for my company that I am able to create and bless others with job opportunities. I started with two clients working by myself now have employees and hundreds of clients. What set me apart from others: I use natural products and environmentally friendly services,  I also leave a rose in the kitchen every time we clean a full house. Once they have been on schedule more than 60 days, I buy them a small vase to keep the rose in.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is when you build something from the ground up. I know I am successful as I have been able  to keep working with the same clients for many years. They have become like family to me. As a Mother, I know I have been a positive role model for my four children. I have been a very hard worker, honest, loyal, reliable and most importantly trustworthy. My goal is to expand my business and have franchises throughout the country.
