Today we’d like to introduce you to Dj TMade.
Dj TMade, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always been musically influenced since I was 8. My dad bought me my first drum set and I’ve loved it ever since. It wasn’t until 2015 that I grew interest in dj’ing. I hit a rough patch financially and needed extra money ASAP. My uncle had the equipment and recommended that I try to learn how to use it, so I did just that. Night and day I taught myself the basics of dj’ing and over the months and years, I’ve perfected my craft learning from some of the top Dj’s in Houston (Go Dj HiC, Dj Mr. Rogers and Dj Aplus) just to name a few. I didn’t officially let people know that I was a Dj for almost a year, I felt like being labeled as a Dj has to be earned and not given. Once I establish a name for myself as a mobile Dj my business grew rapidly. I’m nowhere near my goals but I’ve definitely come along way.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, not all, the hardest thing I’ve had to encounter is getting booked at times.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Dj TMade – what should we know?
I Dj for clubs, bars, Weddings, and private events. I accommodate any type of event with a wide range of music such as Hip Hop, R&B, Afro Beats, House, EDM, Country, Zydeco and more. I provide sound and lighting if needed as well.
What I’m most proud of as a company is what I’ve built & building. From purchasing equipment to working day in and out to make sure that my customers have a memorable time.
What sets me apart from other Dj’s is that I don’t confine myself to one specific genre of music. I’m a Dj across the board. I’m more than confident that I can Dj at any event and do just fine.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Yes for starters my dad is one of my biggest supporters. He was a Dj in the late 80s- 2000s. He has encouraged me in so many ways along the way.
