Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Derrick.

Olivia’s Bridal House came to fruition after I attempted to go wedding dress shopping almost a decade ago and had a difficult time finding gowns that I could try on in stores. At the time, most bridal stores carried very few gowns over a bridal size 12 in store.

Therefore, my gown selection was very limited. It wasn’t until I visited a larger retailer in New York that I was able to find a plethora of wedding gowns to try on. From that experience, the dream of creating a beautiful space with a luxury experience and fashion-forward looks for curvy and plus size brides began.

Has it been a smooth road?
Absolutely not! Opening a bridal store from the ground up was not easy. I’ve learned a lot through trial and error. Also, because the bridal market is ever changing, we have to keep up with the latest trends and always spot what we think will work well with our client base. I wear a ton of hats!
