Meet J. Findley of EnTouch Systems

Today we’d like to introduce you to J. Findley.

J, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
enTouch was founded in 1995 and homegrown right here in Houston with the vision of providing personal and reliable customer service. We were one of the first Texas providers of phone, cable, high speed data, and security while enabling our customers to bundle their services with the convenience of a single bill. In 2014, we were the first company to bring 1 Gig service to Houston, enabling our customers to experience lightning fast internet speeds at a realistic price point. This summer, we’ll be celebrating our 22nd anniversary, and we are proud to say that we have stayed true to our original vision and then some! As Houston and the economic landscape have evolved, enTouch has grown along with it. As current CEO, I am proud of how far enTouch has come over the past 22 years and am looking forward to the forward momentum for the next 22 years. We are planning to expand service areas, continue increasing internet speeds, and add products and services to the table. We continue to advocate for the consumer in programming disputes and donate generously to various civic organizations and homeowner’s associations throughout Houston.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Any business owner will tell you there are bumps on the road to success. I have been lucky that I have a great team but there were some tricky moments around the time I joined enTouch in 2013. Any time new management comes in, there will be some transition issues especially when you are trying to improve processes that have been in place for a long time but we have been successful in evolving as a company while staying true to the original vision of enTouch.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
enTouch has been providing telecommunications services to residents in the Greater Houston area since 1996. We were the first provider of “Quad-Play” services meaning telephone, cable, high speed data, and security services in the Houston area. We specialize in providing high-quality products and local, responsive customer service. As a locally owned, small business, we have the flexibility to listen to what our customers are saying and adapt to add the products and services they actually want in a timely manner. We did this in 2014 when we were the first Houston provider to offer 1 Gig internet speeds. When we heard what our customers wanted, we quickly went in to action to provide it. Our customers have the unique experience of enjoying top-notch products along with outstanding customer service. Additionally, they know their technicians by name and have the chance to speak with local enTouch employees at community events including our senior management team. We are truly Houston-based, Houston-focused, and always a local phone call away.

What were you like growing up?
I was born and raised in the small town of Whitney, Texas where the average high school graduating class size is 33 students. My father was a 20 year+ military officer who instilled in me the value of achieving my goals. Even from a young age, I have always been focused on my goals and that focus has followed me from the day I started my telecommunications career cutting brush around telephone poles at 14 years old to where I am today.
