Thanks for sharing your story with us Velvet. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am the owner and creator of Vivacious Vanity located in Spring, TX! Our business started out back in December 2016 with me expressing to my boyfriend that I wanted a Hollywood vanity makeup mirror from another vanity mirror company (even though I didn’t wear too much makeup at the time). I thought I would never be able to afford one because the prices were extremely expensive. So my boyfriend (husband now lol) decided to surprise me and make a vanity mirror for Christmas!
That’s right, I said MAKE! I was so happy and impressed that he took the time out to make me a custom mirror from scratch. We showed our family and friends and they all asked can they get one made as well. That’s when we decided to turn it into a business and people loved our affordable prices. We took a brief pause due to the loss of our first daughter together back in 2017 but I took that traumatic life-changing experience and put all my energy into my business by wanting to make people happy and feel confident about themselves with my product.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road and still isn’t. In the beginning, our biggest struggle my husband and I had, was keeping up with the demand and getting out our orders in a timely manner since we were the ones producing them from start to finish. We now have another party that produces majority of the product for us and we add the finishing touches to it.

When it comes to my specific business Houston offers so much opportunity and is a great stepping stone for starting out. We have lots of wonderful makeup artist discovered and undiscovered that have such amazing talent that could use our product. Just to be clear, you do not have to be a woman, makeup artist, or hairstylist to own our products. We welcome all walks of life to experience our brand. Our mirrors can be used for just about anything: getting dressed, doing makeup, straightening/curling your hair, etc.
