Today we’d like to introduce you to Nino Jones.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Nino. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I first started rapping when I was a kid my brother and some older guys on the block were outside rapping over an instrumental and I wanted to hang out with them and rap as well. And so I joined in and they just all started hyping me up and kept going and my love for hip hop started there however my love for music has always been in my soul. My grandfather and my father were into music and my mother placed me in band because I would play on my grandparents piano. Every time I went over there to see them I’d grab a soda from the cabinet they had stored for me and I run in the back and play on the piano. My family heavily influenced my love for music I’ve played Jazz music and symphony just an overall loved for the craft and that’s why music has me wrapped around its finger.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been easy for me coming from a rough area as a young child carryover from what I’ve seen and been through at a very young age which I think allows me to reach into the depths of my emotions and create the feeling that I put through in my music. It all comes from depression and anxiety my struggles are more mental then anything else we can be our own biggest critic but we also have to learn to praise ourselves I’ve dealt with some other things I’m not willing to openly discuss but maybe another time.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a hip-hop artist I do specialize in lyrics anywhere from hard-core to melodic. I believe what sets me apart from others is my wordplay and my own emotions. I can influence into my music and although others have their own set of skills I personally believe that I have my own lane and vibe that produce through the words I put out there I try to emphasize the meanings used behind the words I put into my music.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe my determination is what is most important to me in my success when I want something done I can get it done I will do it without question. Not giving up on my dream of delivering my message and music to people is what keeps me going and hopefully I can reach millions one day and help them realize with determination they too can achieve their dreams. Tons of successful people weren’t successful early on but not giving up made them who they are today and I plan on being one of those people.
