Thanks for sharing your story with us Zetta. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started Creating Champions a few years ago after helping a friend start their business.
They had no idea where or how to start and I just wanted to make sure that they had everything they needed to be successful. I helped them file the correct documents, write their business plan, apply for their tax ID and other necessities and even fill out a loan application.
It was during this time period that I realized just how many people, especially minorities (especially women) weren’t aware of what it takes to officially start a business or Non-Profit.
Since then, I’ve helped several people start businesses or write/rewrite documents they may be in need of and review and update their business goals.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This road has definitely had a few bumps.
As a new business, it’s hard to generate clientele. As a new business that people don’t understand or see the immediate tangible benefit from sometimes it’s doubly hard to generate clientele.
Add to that the need to learn how to market and advertise yourself, how to network and balance this business with a full-time job, it’s made for some interesting times.

I’m most proud of the fact that I am able to help people realize their dreams. I help people get past the technical part of the process so that they can make their vision plain and run with it.
I like to think that my process is what sets me apart in this field. This is not me writing by myself. This is a collaborative process so that not only do you have a working document to present to others, YOU know exactly what’s in that document and can explain it to others. I’m merely there to assist in an area that you needed the help. It’s your vision, I’m just helping you get it down in written form.
What were you like growing up?
I’ve always been the quiet, introvert that loves a good time. I was naturally observant and I loved helping other people.
Growing up, I had an eclectic set of interests/hobbies that ran from sports to cooking, reading, and writing, dancing to gardening. I was always a caretaker, motivator and a leader, but I didn’t like much attention.
