Darcey, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always been a lover of boutique spas and the sense of unique pampering they provide their clients. In January 2018, the local spa I had been going to for over nine years closed unexpectedly. My first thought was “Oh, no, where did my person go?” And my second thought was, “What a fantastic opportunity this is to create a new vision of what a boutique spa could be.” So, with the assistance of the lady whom had managed the other spa, we began to create what today is The Greenhouse Day Spa.
In a city without defined seasons, I was captivated by the idea of bringing the essence and cadence of each time of the year together with highest quality natural, botanical products to help clients relax and rebalance. This fit perfectly with the idea growing and nurturing things within a greenhouse, not to mention the two-story 1944 grand dame which houses the spa, is green as well!
It was critically important to me that the Spa’s environment creates a sense of well-being by tantalizing all of senses providing an intimate and personalized experience for every guest.
Has it been a smooth road?
I think the hardest part of the journey from concept to opening was the process of converting the building from a residential space to a commercial one. I learned a lot about codes and working with the City to accomplish my vision for the building and the space.

The Greenhouse Day Spa provides a distinctive opportunity to explore the cadence and renewal of each time of the year. Letting nature be our guide, our spa uses organic herbs, natural oils, and unique botanicals to create signature treatments reflecting the individuality of each season.

Our trained therapists and estheticians will customize services that relax, renew and create a sense of overall well-being. Performing timeless rituals to soothe your muscles, rejuvenate your skin and heighten your senses, they have been carefully selected based on their conscientious therapeutic touch, knowledge of the body, and passion for healing.
We offer a variety of massages, facials, body treatment and waxing services designed to refresh, renew, rebalance and restore. With seven rooms, the Spa is the perfect space for birthday’s, wedding showers and friend get-togethers.

We are located in the heart of the River Oaks/Montrose area.
