So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started as a makeup artist at a local salon when I decided to go to cosmetology school and I originally was going to enroll as a hairstylist but I really wasn’t into doing hair and nails. I just wanted to learn updos and more on makeup so I can have some kind of certification but then, I was told about the esthetics program which I knew nothing about but sounded better than doing hair. I fell in love with esthetics, I finished school within the year and graduated. I worked in different salons mostly doing makeup and a Lil waxing and facials. I finally decided to be on my own. I like to work fair and sometimes work with a different stylist and makeup artist when I have bridals, quinceañeras, etc.
I’ve been happy ever since. I’m still learning new things and adding services to my menu.
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t been a very smooth road as I mentioned before. There were a lot of people who tried taking advantage of my kindness. There’s also the basic life struggles I go thru every day but I don’t give up!

Bella Pelle Studio is a beauty & esthetics business. My services are makeup, skincare, lash lifting, lash & brow tinting, full-body waxing for men and females, yoni steam and Microblading. I will be offering spray tanning in the future. My most popular services are Brazilian/Bikini waxing and lash and brow services.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and the least?
I’ve lived in Pasadena since I was seven. The city has definitely grown and still growing though I wish they would stop tearing down old buildings to build new ones. The market is different in Pasadena, most clients are more concerned about hair services than skincare so it can be tough getting then in the door.
