Today we’d like to introduce you to Virginia Manning.
Virginia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Over 20 years ago, my mom, who suffered from depression, committed suicide with her own prescribed psychotropic medications. Throughout those years, I have lived and struggled to come to terms with the reality of her mental health disorder. The question I struggled with for so many years is, “What could I have done to help her through the pain?”
Now I am able to finally spread my story and skills to motivate, inspire, guide and support others to overcome life’s common challenges with mental health and addiction challenges. I want others to reach the same safe place of strength that took me so many years to find, but a lot faster than I did.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It took me over 20 years to be able to tell anyone the reason for my mother’s death. The guilt of not knowing how or even that I could have helped her hurts still today. Getting others to realize that mental health and addiction challenges are real and that there is a comfort zone is a challenge because people hid from the stigma.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the GinMan Consulting story. Tell us more about the business.
GinMan Consulting provides mental health and addiction counseling and consultation services. I am also an author, blogger and motivational speaker. I host webinars, book tours and several other events to spread awareness in an attempt to reach the masses who are affected by mental health and addiction challenges. The Push Pass Life Movement and Destined to Rise: Circle of Success are programs designed to help others overcome life’s common challenges at corporate and individual levels. My new book, Master Your Journey: Simple Ways to Push Pass Life is another platform designed to reach those with mental health and addiction challenges. This book which is a dedication to my mother, Minnie Lee is my most encouraging and proud work thus far.
To continue my mission of fighting stigma and spreading awareness, I will soon launch a non-profit organization and my 2nd book.
I am unique in my field because my vision is to dynamically reach every avenue and platform in society to fulfill the mission of GinMan Consulting and the other initiatives that are under way.
