Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Tillman.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born with medical issues that led to me having open-heart surgery at five years old, which I believe is important to my story and how it has shaped my life. Overcoming major obstacles at such a young age, being considered a “miracle child” has allowed me to persevere through anything, life is a gift that I do not want to waste or take for granted. My inspiration is my mother, who is a dedicated and hardworking woman that always made sure my brothers and I had the best of everything. She was stylish and fashionable, she always looked perfect and put together, she is my role model who I still turn to for advice when putting styles together. Her dedication to her family and career has shown me that a good work ethic and working hard is what makes you successful, something that I carry with me personally and professionally.
Besides my mother, Barbie was where my love for style and putting different looks together started, I would often cut up my Barbie’s clothes in order to make different outfits for them. I was in college to earn my BAA in Education and I almost completed my degree when I decided I wanted to focus on my true passion. I started attending The Art Institute to get my Bachelors in Fashion Retail Management while working full-time. Fall of 2018, I decided I was going to New York Fashion Week by myself, I jumped on a plane not knowing anyone and attended shows for up and coming designers and it felt like where I belong. After that, I decided I would not let anything get in the way of my dreams.
My attention to detail and wanting to create the perfect outfit is something I pride myself on and I am able to use those skills to style clients and photoshoots. I am now five months away from graduating and plan to move to New York in the spring to start my career in fashion. I owe this to my five-year-old self who had big dreams of moving to New York after seeing it in the movies. I am so beyond excited for what this next chapter in life will bring and cannot wait to see what happens next.
Has it been a smooth road?
Working full time, going to school, and juggling life has not always been easy, but I always figure out a way to make it work and know that all of the sleepless nights, hard work, sacrifices and time away from family and friends will all be worth it in the end.

When people introduce me they say “ Paige the Fashionista” because I am known for my style, fashion, photography, and attention to the little details that make an outfit complete. People would say these things about me before I started school and got truly invested in the fashion industry. I have a lot of pride for being known for my style and being able to style others to make them feel their best and most confident. I try to think of unconventional ideas for outfits that do not break your budget and can make someone feel like a million bucks without the million dollar price tag. I show clients that by adding a belt, any accessory or even tying up a shirt can change the entire look of an outfit. I believe in the quote “Money can buy you all the fashion in the world, but it can’t buy you a thread of style.” This is only the beginning, I still learn every day and will continue to share my style and knowledge with those around me.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Houston has been a great place for me to get my feet wet for fashion. The Fashion industry in the last few years has grown in Houston, the shows are getting bigger and the industry will continue to grow, especially with so many talented people here.
