Mumtaz, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Established in 2016, A&M Designs was primarily a home-based business. From experience as consumers in the world of online shopping, we realized there was a huge gap in the online market for quality Indian, Pakistani, and other ethnic fashion products. Apart from this gap, there was an unfortunate surplus of negative customer experience testimonials within the realm of online shopping from different countries. Thus, having lived in United States and having been part of the society here, we decided to put together one single online destination launching soon ( andesignerstudio.com ) for the many different communities that exist here in this diverse country in order to ensure a high-quality, trustworthy shopping experience for our clients from here and around the world. Over the years, we have connected with many avid ethnic clothing, jewelry, and accessory lovers who adore the quality and uniqueness of our different designers and vendors, their stunning collections, along with the guarantee that they are trustworthy businesspeople from right here in the United States.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Not really! Especially with south Asian communities who love to bargain on everything. And with so many competing in Exhibition Business, it was hard to get women vendors to trust us and get them on board at low prices so they can make some money through these events.

With a strong passion towards fashion and much experience within the retail industry, Mumtaz Tejani, the CEO of A&M Designs, has managed and is continuing to bring this company to greater heights every year. We did not only started shopping destination online but also started organizing A&M Events (amfashionevents.com) where you will have the opportunity to witness fashion shows as well as exhibits showcasing fashion and accessory vendors from around the country and international vendors. The Modern Way Of Shopping Indian, Pakistani, & international ethnic clothing, jewelry, and accessories all under one roof.
Furthermore, our team is made entirely of female entrepreneurs from different countries. No matter where they come from, however, we strongly believe that they are united as one within this beautiful country.
We are proud of our team of hard working women; each designer, each vendor, and each member of our team is committed to taking great care of our clients’ needs and ensuring that they receive the best products and the best service from us!
Philanthropy is one of the core pillars of our brand and it’s also something that’s close to Mumtaz Tejani. Her biggest role model is Kendra Scott as her core values are the same as Mumtaz (fashion, family and philanthropy). We are honored to support women and families’ causes in our local communities through A&M Designs events and donations.

Yes of course! My biggest supporter is my family! They have been with me since beginning. My son helping me in computer and graphics, my daughter is my content writer and my husband is always there supporting me when I need help as well as taking care of family when I am not there. My mom is always with me in my every single event. Of course, my women entrepreneurs, sponsors, our fashion show models and many more.
