Erika, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am where I am today by the grace of GOD! It’s has been so many trial and errors that I almost gave up. Now, how I got to be the CEO of SMART LIPO is actually my biggest problem now. Spending money LoL I inquired as a client on getting non invasive liposuction done to myself and when I called to get further details I learned of the certification and of course all the potential networks and financial stability this was about to come from starting rushing my thoughts and I instantly asked the lady my price and insured and I’ll be there to pay once I get off work and the rest is HISTORY.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth would be the last word I use to discuss the road to today. One thing I know for certain is God gives his toughest battles to his best soldiers and that’s that. I learned to praise him when times are good or bad so no need to panic he will care for you just believe. Indeed, faith is all you need to succeed BUT faith without work is dead. Dedication, willpower, drive, determination, strength, some umph about yourself and your business, just some plain ole shut up and do it is your work then the world is yours for the taking and it is written that what God has for me is for me also no weapon formed shall prosper he never said that nothing will never for he said it shall not prosper. Everyone has the exact time to get off an app timeline and think about opportunities and new ideas to continue to MAKE ASSES REAL AGAIN 😝 lol you thought I was about to say it huh??? that’s my punch line for SMART LIPO since I do not perform any invasive procedures in order to complete a fat transfer I chose that slogan.

What were you like growing up?
I was an ANGEL, DUH! The family called me Strawberry I had a radiant smile with beautiful eyes and an award-winning personality BUT I was also a force to be reckoned with. I was a sweetheart for real do not contradict me but if something was iffy or done in the wrong towards me then someone paid a pretty penny for my pain and suffering. I eventually acquired the knowledge that everyone didn’t have common sense, book sense, and street sense and I can’t fault one for not having them all. As well as you cannot allow someone else to make you step out of your character. Once this all was understood and embedded into my mindset I didn’t walk the same way I did before. I didn’t talk to some people that I would always cackle with. I didn’t go places that I would hang all day in a past time and etc. & do NOT get it misconstrued I am headstrong but my heart is pure GOLD! I would give one the shirt off my back and my last plate of food and because of this I end on backroad #9 all the time so I am learning now NOT to care so much and guess what. IT’S BUSINESS, NEVER PERSONAL.
