Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Miller.
Cynthia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Cliché by Cindy was created solely on the strength of my family’s persuasion! I have always done my own decorations for my children’s birthday parties and made shirts to match the theme. Crafting is always been a passion of mine in my free time, but I never imagined I would be able to make money from my hobby! My family kept insisting that I begin to expand my talents. At the time, I was a working mom of two young boys. Between childcare costs, bills, and daily living costs… I was basically working somewhere that wasn’t ideal just to barely get by. Fast forward a few months, and I finally gave in and started Cliché by Cindy. I figured if I was gonna get paid to do what I love, why not? The feedback I have received since starting the company has been amazing! The community is a big supporter of what I do. My cousin started advertising, using her own vehicle for advertisement purposes and the word of mouth spread quickly! I’ve only been at it now for about six months, and God has really shown me favor!
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been amazing the way the transition has went. It took a lot of studying and practicing (and that never ends), it took a lot of dedication and long hours… but those things are irrelevant when I get to see how happy my customers are to see their ideas come to life!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Cliché by Cindy story. Tell us more about the business.
Cliché by Cindy is a Custom Vinyl business. I don’t like to say “T-shirt company” or “Car decal company”, because we do so many various things with the vinyl, that one category doesn’t work. We specialize in customizing and creating T-shirts, Trays, Car Decals, Lighters, Wall Decals, Tumblers, cake toppers, birthday banners, etc. I am constantly learning and creating! I love to see the smile on my customers face! Their reaction is the best for me! My goal is to offer my services at a reasonable price so that EVERYONE can have the Cliché Experience. My customers are what I’m most proud of! They stick with me through my learning process && they are so excited to create! It’s what makes me motivated to keep pushing.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
My goal within the next five years is that Cliché by Cindy will be a full-blown Party Planning Company! I want to be the one you call when you just can’t figure out what to do for the 5th birthday party this year, or for the office party you don’t even know where to start on, and you just wanna sit back and let someone else do it for ya! I am working on learning the ins and outs of the business, and building connections as I go. I will continue my custom work, and I plan on including it in my Party Planning Endeavor!
