Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Pearce.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jamie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started cooking at the age of 12. My mom injured her leg and I wanted to help her out by cooking dinner. I cooked fried pork chops, green beans, and mac & cheese. I had no clue what I was doing, lol, but I knew how it was supposed to look when it was done. As I got older, I developed a love for cooking and with that, the presentation became a must!! I would cook meals for my family and friends. I shared pictures of the meals I cooked on social media and received lots of positive feedback which moved me to take my cooking skills to another level.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes and no. I struggled a lot with hesitation and excuses of why not to just jump out there and get to it. Once I had my daughter, I wanted to be able to be home with her full time. That was the perfect opportunity to start working on what I had a passion to do. I resigned from my job in 2018 and began working on Cookin with Love.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Cookin with love story. Tell us more about the business.
Cookin with love is a food business that offers group/private cooking classes, meal preps, catering and love spices which is an all-purpose seasoning that you can use on everything!! Our cooking classes teach you how to make restaurant-quality food in the comfort of your own home. We offer meal preps which are key to maintaining a healthy living lifestyle. We also provide catering which is made with love that your guests will rave about. Cookin with love has their own hand made seasoning that is used at the cooking classes, on meals preps and catering dishes.
