Stephanie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my journey to being an entrepreneur as a child. I remember daydreaming in front of the television of being a businesswoman and dressing up in polished suits. I always knew that I would have a business. I’ve had several companies throughout my journey, but fashion and style have been apart of who I am as an individual. It came naturally to me to create a space for that purpose. My arrival at this point has been one of self-discovery. Through those self- discovery reflections the desire to explore creativity in fashion and pursue what gives me joy kept showing up in my life that I could no longer ignore. I decided to leap. Hence, Crown Blu is here.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road to becoming what I saw in my dreams was not an easy one. The struggles I encounter have allowed me to learn and grow in entrepreneurship. One of the biggest struggles for me was being vulnerable. My personality is one that shy away from the spotlight. However, visions of my company impacting people’s lives require me to have a level of openness so I can leave my mark of love with others. Of course, fear. Fear is always a factor that seeps in when you start something bigger than you.
I would encourage others to strengthen their faith because when challenges and fears present itself. Believe that your business was inspired to enrich lives, and everything else will fall into place. Throughout your journey, it will be a variety of struggles that will challenge you but let your dreams fuel you to the point where you know you have to continue the journey. You have something awesome to bring to the world. “If not you, who? If not now, when?” The time is now.
