Today we’d like to introduce you to Cori Cole.
Cori, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I remember coming out of high school I had the love for people and the want to be in the beauty industry. As fate would have it I found the Aveda Institute shortly after graduating high school. I began training and falling in love faster than I could ever imagine. Through the love for beauty and hair my desire to change peoples lives grew more and more every day. I continued to challenge myself daily, be the best I could be, and learn from top stylist in order to provide the best service available. Consistent dedication, motivation, and discipline has brought me to where I am thus far.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I feel as if everything has been smooth sailing throughout my career thus far. Being in the beauty industry can have its challenges and fears. Self-doubt can fill your mind as you want to be the best stylist in town, but also know that others are pursuing the same dream. Through consistent dedication and discipline has made this road easy to follow. Finding my motivation and “why” has made everything smooth sailing.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I work for Aurea Salon under the Aveda brand. We are a company that focuses on products that are over 90% naturally derived and a company that believes in a green earth. I focus and specialize in everything that involves hair cuts and/or the most advanced color services in the industry. I am known for my extreme attention to detail and consistent work. I pride on being the best I can be and making my clients feel beautiful before they leave. At Aveda and Aurea Salon we take great honor in the fact we truly care about the products we make and the way in which we give back to society.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I could start over again- the main thing I would change is start sooner! This journey has been nothing short of great and a blessing!
