So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started working at Amazing Lash Studio around 11th grade as a lash consultant. When it was time to go off to college, my mom told me to look into eyelash extensions because I was working at a lash studio. I took her advice and that’s what I did. I currently attend Prairie View A&M University. Freshman year, I charged $45 full sets all year to build my clientele. Now, I’ve built my clientele and my full sets range from $60-$105. I’ve been lashing for three years now and love every bit of it! I teach my skills and knowledge to others when they take my class. I want to continue to lash, but eventually I want to travel and teach what I do.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship is not easy nor for the weak! You have to be a strong-minded person to be an entrepreneur. You will have your bad days where you want to cry because you have 0 clients. Always stay positive and pray because being broke is in the process of becoming rich. Being broke is just a phase. You have to start somewhere. If you’re a real “go-getter or hustler”, you will know how to make something out of nothing. If you have to lower your prices, make deals, or specials to get clients to book, it’ll definitely work out.

Extend It Lash is a small, black-owned business, that focuses on making women feel fierce on the inside and look fiercer on the out!
I, Kennedy, am known for eyelash extensions and specialize in volume lashes. I am very proud of my progress, more so being a college student as well and trying to also focus on my career as becoming a nurse.
