Today we’d like to introduce you to E Love Johnson.
E Love, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my journey in 2017. I was invited to walk in a plus size fashion show. I didn’t know they had a show just for plus-size industry. This intrigued me so I decided to try it out. Let’s just say I fell in love. Since then I been in numerous fashion shows, eight magazines and brand ambassador for several brands!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
With anything you do that is great and with purpose will have obstacles. In the modeling industry there will be shady people that will try to use you for personal gain. There are people that think plus size women should not have a platform because it’s considered celebrating obesity. Then there are your own thoughts of am I good enough, tough enough to stand for women that look like me?
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am E Love the Brand. I am a model and influencer for several brands. I specialize in modeling plus-size clothing and accessories. I am especially proud of how my brand has grown in past year. I will also be launching my very own boutique in 2020 called Laced with Love. This boutique will specialize in plus size but also cater to all sizes. It will carry undergarments, lingerie, and corsets. Things that set me apart from other companies is that I’m hands-on and believe customer service is extremely important!
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have probably taken my time and researched industry more than just jumping to be in anybody show. It still helped me to grow as a model and businesswoman.
